SAMSPA Regular Season Scheduling Policy

 

  1. Under no circumstance will SAMSPA accommodate special requests from teams or players regarding scheduling conflicts.

 

  1. Under no circumstance will SAMSPA make special arrangements for players who play on multiple teams.

 

  1. SAMSPA Board reserves the right to change the schedule to accommodate rainout games, double headers or other unforeseen circumstances.
  1. If a schedule change is made with 14 or more days’ notice, managers will not be notified directly.
  2. If a schedule change is made with fewer than 14 days’ notice, managers will be notified by email.
  3. If your diamond changes however the time and date remain the same, managers will not be notified directly.

 

  1. Managers and players are encouraged to double check their schedule at the beginning of each week to ensure they are aware of when their games are to be played.

 

  1. Teams may play up to 3 games per week.
  1. If a large number of games are rained out, teams may be asked to play 4 games in a week later in the season.

 

  1. Teams may play double-headers.
  1. SAMSPA will attempt to schedule double-headers in back-to-back time slots (i.e., 6:30/8:00 or 8:00/9:30) however teams may have to play two games in one night with a break in between.

 

  1. Rainout games may be scheduled on Friday nights.

 

  1. If you are unable to field a team for your scheduled game, you must notify the League Operations Coordinator and the opposing team Coach/Manager via email, text or phone, 24 hours prior to your game time.
  1. Failure to contact the League Operations Coordinator and Coach/Manager of opposition within the required time will result in a $100.00 fine.
